How to Unshrink Cotton?
1.Soak in Lukewarm Water with Conditioner
Fill a basin with lukewarm water to help relax the fibers.
Add a tablespoon of hair conditioner or baby shampoo to the water.
Let the fabric soak for 20-30 minutes to soften and loosen the fibers.
2.Rinse Thoroughly
After soaking, drain the basin and rinse the fabric with cool or lukewarm water to eliminate any conditioner residue.
Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric; instead, lay it flat on a towel, roll it up gently, and press to remove excess water.
3.Gently Stretch the Fabric
Place the fabric flat on another dry towel and carefully stretch it back to its original size.
Use heavy items like books or cans to hold the fabric in place and prevent it from shrinking again.
4.Use Steam to Reshape (If Necessary)
If the fabric remains misshapen after drying, use a garment steamer or an iron on a low heat setting with steam while continuing to stretch it gently.
